Juliet Izzo

About

Juliet Izzo is a South East London–based mixed media artist of Southern Italian and Anglo-Indian heritage.

With a background in fine art photography, she has been creating art throughout her life, developing her practice more seriously in recent years. Her work spans detailed figurative drawings—primarily of the female form in charcoal—and more expressive abstract pieces using oil pastel and acrylic.

While her figurative work is controlled and intentional, her abstract practice leans into instinct and spontaneity. Through shape, colour, and mark-making, she explores a more playful and intuitive way of working, often rooted in reconnecting with a younger, less self-conscious version of herself.

As a neurodivergent artist, this duality sits at the core of her practice: a tension between precision and freedom, restraint and release.

She has recently begun exhibiting her work and continues to build on this through new opportunities and projects.
